Cats Protection has welcomed the long-awaited consultation on the licensing and regulation of Animal Welfare Establishments (AWEs) in Wales.
The charity said the 12-week consultation was an opportunity to ensure consistent and high standards of welfare are enforced in all sanctuaries, rescue and rehoming centres across Wales.
